THE INTERNATIONAL NURSERY SCHOOL
Our nursery gives you an opportunity to place your child in the international English speaking classes. This year there are two age groups in our nursery: 3–4 and 5–6 year olds.

On 14th December the International School community gathered together in order to celebrate Christmas Eve. This ceremonial meeting started with a performance prepared by pre-school, primary and checkpoint learners. The opening scene introduced the audience to Martian students and their knowledge of the Planet Earth. To make everyone believe that during Christmas time miracles happen and mean and bad people can change into generous and kind ones, the Martians went for a trip to the Earth. Firstly, they visited angels in Heaven so as to learn more about how people spend their time just before Christmas. Finally, they reached London and they heard the story of “ Christmas Carol”. The Christmas performance was crowned with warm wishes, joyful singing, dancing and exchanging gifts.

On 6th of December, a magical day for all the children, a special guest visited the Complex of Silesian International Schools. Excited kids welcomed Santa with Christmas songs. Afterwards the visitor took a seat in a specially prepared room. Not only did he give children the presents but also had an individual chat with each of them. He told each pupil what he liked about the child’s behaviour in the passing year, and what still needs to be improved. While waiting for their turn, children spent their time decorating Christmas cookies for their families.

On 2 November we celebrated Halloween in our school. There was a great party with lots of spooky Halloween fun and contests here. Finally, we all deserved the delicious pumpkin shaped cake made by one of our Checkpoint students - Julia Stebel.

On 24 November 2011, 42 performers from Domowe Przedszkole, Szkoła jak Dom, Gimnazjum Amicus and Complex of Silesian International Schools took part in a piano show at the assembly hall of our school. We enjoyed simple melodies and songs for kids as well as more serious pieces, some of them conneced with upcoming Christmas. Parents, grandparents and young pianists' friends in the audience had a really good time. It was worth staying till the end of the performance. Mmes. Danuta Kościelny, Katarzyna Wróblewska and Aleksandra Gąsiorczyk had prepared all the performers for the show. Congratulations to all of you. See you again in May.
