26 September, 2011

On 26th of September children of our International School participated in the beginning of the school year trip to the Żar Mountain. After some integration games they had an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of the high activities with aerial challenges in the High Ropes Park.  After this tiring adventure some volunteers got on the funicular railway which took them to the top of the mountain. But that was not all; on the peak the students were able to see a giant water container delivering water the local power station. They also had a chance to run down an exciting bobsleigh sled. Luckily, the weather was great which made the day even more pleasant. The trip lasted the whole day but from the children’s faces it could be seen that it was a very enjoyable one.

On 6th of May children from stages 0 - 2 went on a trip to Neverland. This well prepared playground gave them opportunity to widely use their imagination. Two hours of running, jumping, climbing and playing together with friends in Peter Pan’s land will surely be well remembered by our pupils.

Children from Primary Programme not only take care about mental development but also try to keep their body in good  condition. For that reason each year we visit salt cave, which has good influence on health as it helps to supply body in iodine. Such a trip took place 5th of May 2011. Spending time in the cave and playing there was a great adventure for pupils and they didn’t even notice the time passing.

4-6 May, 2011

Our Checkpoint group together with a few kids from the Primary Programme spent three days in the beginning of May 2011 in Slovakia. Our time there was pretty hectic, we visited the Freedom Cave with over 900 steps underground, kids had fun in Tatralandia Aquapark, swam in thermal water in Besenova, visited Oravsky Podzamok, breathed with fresh mountain air, almost climbed Chopok (see pictures), made fire (safe!) at the bottom of the mountain, threw snowballs, trekked (some even ran) up to a heritage park-village in Vlkolinec. That trip was definitely an unforgettable experience for everyone.
