The last Day of school before Easter for some children was (even) more exciting than the other school days. Children from stages 1-2 Cambridge Primary Programme together with their Polish friends took part in Physics classes conducted by their older schoolmates from pre International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. They could observe many interesting physical processes while watching experiments prepared by older students. After the official part, which ended with asking questions and explaining all doubts that children had, pupils could become scientists themselves, as they had an opportunity to conduct some of the experiments.

The Checkpoint group of our School visited Teatr Korez on 15 April: students watched performance: Wild about Oscar Wilde with Tonya Trappe & Mia Leahy, and took part in workshop: Portrait of Oscar Wilde with Richie Mullaney.
23 March, 2011
As usual this year, without any doubts, the winter lasted far too long. The clever children from Polish and International kindergarten decided to drive off the cold lady. Each group prepared a traditional “Marzanna” - a symbol of passing winter . They worked very hard, using old clothes and hey, so it was no surprise that the results of their efforts were impressive. On the 23rd of March brave pupils took their Marzannas to burn them at the fire place in the school’s yard. To help Miss Spring to settle in they were calling her loudly and singing. All the event was surely successful, because on their way back the sun came up and warmed their smiling faces.

Carnival time obviously cannot exist without a proper carnival bal. Such a bal took place on 11th of February 2011 in the assembly hall of the school. All the Primary Programme pupils joined Polish children to spent great time on dancing, choosing the best costume and taking part in various competitions. The Spiderman was dancing with princesses and ladybird and Toy Story characters were playing with Portuguese football player. I wonder who will come next year…

CHRISTMAS MEETING
Christmas meeting in December is a tradition in our school. Every year at that time, we invite parents and teachers, and spend one afternoon together, watching our children’s show. This year we prepared a play about the atmosphere of Christmas time. All groups staged short performances which altogether made a whole. The audience enjoyed the show very much and we had a great time together.
