Volunteering, politics and business - 1DP at the European Economic Congress
Class 1DP, together with their teacher, Mrs. Marta Skwarek, and Mrs. Anna Dewalska-Opitek, participated in the sessions organized as part of the 16th European Economic Congress 2024 to use their time during the school's high school leaving exams. The topics proposed in this year's edition of EEC and our visit to last year's congress were very much appreciated by the students, which is why they chose this event. They were interested in topics such as: "Artificial Intelligence - Business and Development", "Technologies, innovations, digitalization", "Metaverse".
The first day was devoted solely to listening to the speeches. On the second day, some students got involved in volunteering, supporting the House of Guardian Angels. For many years we have been supporting this valuable initiative that helps children from poor families.
We are proud that our young people choose social and educational activities as a complement to spending pleasant time on trips or at the cinema. Such activities teach thrift and carry an important message. We are convinced that investing in self-development in this sense will bring benefits to our students in adult life.
