Janek Wesołowski is the world champion in giant slalom!
We have a world champion! Our student, Janek Wesołowski, won the prestigious International Kidstrophy competition in Zauchensee, Austria. Organizers describe the competition as the largest international ski race in the world. And they really make such an impression. Children from 24 countries around the world took part in this year's edition, and the meetings took place on Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday's race in falling snow resulted in more challenging conditions on the course. Janek started with number 215 and at the end of his run he felt that the descent went great. However, we had to wait as there were 74 boys on the starting list in his category. These were amazing emotions. Janek walked onto the podium with a white and red flag to thunderous ovations. Polish national anthem was played with pride.
